Censure Youtube: Un pas a été franchi

Youtube n'est plus accessible à partir du Maroc du moins pour les abonnés de Maroc Telecom. Tout porte à croire que les autorités marocaines ont décidé de censurer le site d'hébergement de vidéos. Le Maroc rejoint ainsi le groupe très fermé des pays de sinistre réputation comme la Chine, l'Arabie Saoudite ou le Pakistan.

En bloquant l'accès au site de le plus emblématique de la révolution Web 2.0 , le Maroc vient de faire un très grand pas en arrière et d'accomplir un acte de censure d'extrême gravité. En une seule journée , toutes les cartes postales vantant la modernité et l'ouverture du « nouveau règne » ont été foudroyées. Tous les espoirs de liberté, fût-elle virtuelle, sont anéantis. Si aujourd'hui, on censure le site le plus populaire au Monde, demain que censure-t-on?

Maroc Telecom, filiale du groupe français Vivendi a accepté de se plier à la censure illégale imposée par les autorités marocaines. Ce n'est pas une première chez elle , rappelons que depuis plusieurs mois Google Earth est bloqué par la même société en catimini et dans les mêmes conditions. Ceci alors que d'autres opérateurs (Wanna et méditel) ne bloquent pas les deux sites. Vivendi universel et sa filiale locale sont les complices zélés de cette censure, que leurs clients et que le public le sachent!

Bien sûr il serait facile de s'en prendre uniquement à Maroc Telecom et d'oublier que derrière cet acte de censure qui vient de frapper le net marocain, il y a des responsables politiques, les vrais donneurs d'ordre. Inutile d'espérer une quelconque explication des autorités marocaines quand on sait en quel estime elles tiennent les citoyens. Inutile de tenter d'identifier le responsable de cette censure absurde sauf à demander des explications au chef de l'Etat, chef de l'exécutif et son entourage . Mais a-t-on seulement le droit, en ce 21ème siècle, de s'adresser au roi du Maroc sans blasphémer?

Un grand pas a été franchi. Pour marquer fermement mon opposition à la censure, parce que tout cela ne laisse rien présager de bon, et parce que c'est un jour noir pour le net marocain, ce blog entre en grève.

Le wali de Rabat Hassan Lamrani figure sur la liste de ceux qui ont été proposés aux postes d'ambassadeurs. Les nominations selon la presse aujourd'hui c'est pour très bientôt. Et certains pensent que Lamrani n'a pas été sincère avec le caïd..il voulait arrêter les articles de presse et l'action de l'INPBPM le temps d'obtenir son dahir de nomination en tant qu'ambassadeur..Sacré Lamrani! Dieu seul connait les intentions de tout un chacun mais tout de même..."
